Disney’s All–Star Movies Resort

Jan. 2-Spring 2018: The Duck Pond leisure pool will be under refurbishment.

Late February- Winter 2018: Room refurbishments. During this time, it is possible guests may hear or see construction, but noise should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.

Disney’s All–Star Music Resort

Late February – Early March 2018: Calypso Pool closed.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Ongoing: The resort is currently undergoing refurbishment projects. During this time, the resort will be in full operation with all amenities available. There will also be construction of the new transportation system, Disney Skyliner. It is possible construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.

February 7 – 9, 2018: Cozy Cone Pool closed.

Disney’s Beach Club

August 1, 2018: Children’s Activity Center closing.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Ongoing: Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is currently undergoing some refurbishment projects. During this time, the resort will be in full operation with all amenities available, including dining, merchandise and recreation locations. It is possible that construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am.

August 1, 2018: Children’s Activity Center closing.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Ongoing: While Disney re-imagines the Caribbean Beach Resort, a huge construction project is taking place. Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters at Old Port Royale, Banana Cabana Pool Bar, and Calypso Trading Post have been closed. There are a variety of dining options available for your meals. Centertown is serving a buffet for breakfast and dinner. Grab-and-go meals are available for purchase in three island markets located in the Aruba, Jamaica, and Martinique areas of the resort. Additional à la carte offerings are now available at mobile food vending locations. In‐room dining is still available. Disney dining plans are being accepted.

There will also be construction due to the addition of the new transportation system, Disney Skyliner. It is possible construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Nov. 28-December 2017: During this time, Chef Mickey’s will be relocating to the Convention Center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The dining and character experience will remain the same.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Through 2018: Hard goods refurbishment will be taking place through early 2018. A new 15-story tower is being built. Noise should not be heard from guest rooms prior to 9:00 a.m. daily.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Jan. 2-Spring 2018: The Grand Floridian Beach Pool & Pool Bar will be undergoing refurbishment. During this time, it is possible guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m. The water play area and mug refill station will still be available at this location.

January 2018 – June 30, 2018: Pirate Adventure from the marina closed

January 18 – March 1, 2018: Sammy Duvall Watersports closed.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Aug. 1-June 28, 2018: Room refurbishments will be taking place. Guests may see or hear work in progress and certain pathways may be unavailable. It is possible that construction may be seen or heard, but noise should be not heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.

Through 2019: Resort refurbishments taking place.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

February 5 – 16, 2018: Lava Pool including water slide closed.

August 1, 2018: Children’s Activity Center closing.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Now through summer 2018: Room refurbishments will be taking place. Guests may see or hear work in progress and certain pathways may be unavailable. To minimize any disruptions, work will be limited until after 9:00a.m. daily.

Ongoing: There will also be construction of the new transportation system, Disney Skyliner. It is possible construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.

Late February – May 2018: Bowling Pool closed.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

Early January through late spring 2018: Room refurbishments will be taking place. Guests may see or hear construction, but should not be heard from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

Through January 9, 2018: Paddock Pool, Spa, Water Play area closed

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort

Cub’s Den, the Children’s Activity Center, has closed permanently.

Mid to Late February 2018: Copper Creek Springs Pool closed.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Now through Winter 2018: The Convention Center will be undergoing expansion work. During this time, guests may see or hear work in progress and certain pathways may be unavailable. To minimize any disruptions, work will be limited to 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Captain’s Grille has been renovated into the new Ale & Compass Restaurant.

Children’s Activity Center will permanently close on August 1, 2018.

Walt Disney World Permanent Closures

EPCOT

Ellen’s Energy Adventure closed on Aug. 13, 2017 to make way for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A number of attractions and restaurants closed last year, including Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure, Studio Catering Co., High Octane Refreshments, and The Writer’s Stop. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is constructing two new lands — Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.

The Great Movie Ride wrapped up on Aug. 13, 2017 for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway to move in.

DisneyQuest and Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe closed in summer 2017. La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil shuttered 12/31/2017. Portobello Country Italian Trattoria is now closed.
