Renovations at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Undergoing Renovations
Transformations are still ongoing at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge in Walt Disney World. One of our favorite deluxe hotels at the WDW resort, the Wilderness Lodge is enhancing their offerings for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members and hotel guests.
New Name for Wilderness Lodge Villas
The not-so-descriptive “The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge” now have a catchy name — The Boulder Ridge Villas. In addition, newly constructed bungalows will be named Copper Creek Villas & Cabins. We can’t wait to see these accommodations!
Boulder Ridge Cove Pool Area
Taking inspiration from the resort’s railroad theme, the backstory of Boulder Ridge will also be carried out to the former and overlooked (boring!) Hidden Springs Pool area.
Now under construction, Boulder Ridge Cove has an anticipated opening in summer 2017. With an expanded sun deck, zero-depth entry pool, and a rich, rocky quarry theme, guests of the resort will be immersed in a rustic atmosphere reminiscent of the American West railroad hotels in the 1860’s. A landmark water tower for the Boulder Ridge Railway and Mining Co. will add to the transcontinental railroad theme. To rest your weary feet, a large and secluded hot tub will be part of the poolside amenities.
Finally, watch for the waterfront Geyser Point Bar & Grill and a new counter service area to offer additional food options at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
